The French journal Implications Philosophiques is planning a special issue on Philip Roth. The special dossier will be interested in the quasi-philosophical inquiry Roth conducts in his novels, with literary rather than philosophical techniques. It will look at how Roth's work explores the "philosophical implications" of the nature of reality and literature, identity, politics, aging, the body, sexuality, affect, Judaism, family, and community. The journal seeks paper proposals that address any of these issues from a philosophical angle. Submissions in English are welcome, due December 1, 2019. A link to the French CFP follows below.
