Siegel/McDaniel Award for Graduate Student Research
The Philip Roth Society is still accepting submissions for its third annual Siegel/McDaniel Award for Graduate Student Research. The award recognizes high-quality work from graduate students written on any aspect of Philip Roth’s writing in the past year (ending June 1). The winner receives:
a $250 cash award;
a complimentary one-year membership (or renewal) in the Philip Roth Society, including a year’s subscription to Philip Roth Studies; and
an opportunity to work with the editor of Philip Roth Studies to publish an expanded version of the essay in the journal.
Eligible graduate students should submit a clean copy of a 10-15 page essay, double-spaced, with 12 point Times New Roman font to David Gooblar (gooblarprs [at] gmail.com) by September 1. The executive board members of the Philip Roth Society will evaluate all entries and notify entrants of their decision by October 1.
